AISAM Alumni 2010AISAM 2010 (Asian Intensive School for Advanced Management) was held in Penang, Malaysia and three current MBA students from Griffith attended, Peta Pitcher, Elisabeth Bjelland and Loydrine Lewis. The two weeks over June/July allowed participants to complete two courses (20CP toward a Griffith MBA), Business in Asia and one of the electives, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Coaching or International Negotiations. The course was to say the least a very intensive two weeks, but very rewarding and was attended by 40 students from Australian National Business School affiliated universities from around Australia and Calgary (Canada).

Lectures were given by both Australian and Asian lecturers and also by a series of expatriates and local business people, politicians and Asian Entrepreneurs. The two weeks not only revolved around in class work, but group work, local visits to businesses including Motorola, Minicircuits and Auto City as well as cultural performances and local tourist attractions. This program is perfect for full time students wishing to complete their studies in 12 months, or for those with a general or business interest in Asia.
