Welcome to the first edition of Get Connected for 2014.  Get Connected is the official newsletter of the GBS Alumni Network and one way we hope to keep you updated on the range of activities available to you.

A very warm welcome to all new members.  You are now part of a community which will form part of your professional network moving forward.  How much you engage with it and leverage it to your advantage is up to you.  That said, I encourage you to be an active and engaged member of your Alumni Network.

I am pleased to introduce you to the new Manager, Alumni (Business) for Griffith Business School.  Laura Keele commenced in the position on Monday 24 February, and I know she is very excited about getting to know our alumni and to (continuing to) developing and delivering an outstanding alumni program for you all.

Prior to her appointment as our alumni manager, Laura was the Alumni Relations Coordinator with Griffith's Development and Alumni Office.  Before joining the Griffith community, Laura worked with Cancer Council Victoria and with the Essentially Group, both in stakeholder engagement and management.

I am sure you will all want to join with me in congratulating Laura on her appointment, and in welcoming her to our community!

Best wishes,
David Morgan
