City Council has been supporting the Men's Shed program across Brisbane since 2009. In that time Council
has invested $283,000 in 17 Men's Sheds allowing members to enjoy hobbies like woodworking and mechanics,
and also learn about health programs and other social services available to them. In the latest round
of funding, the Stafford Heights Men's Shed has received $20,000 for their facility at the Stafford Heights

As most residents would
be aware, work is progressing on the upgrade of Beckett Road from Albany Creek Road to Saturn Crescent,
Bridgeman Downs. I thank all who have been inconvenienced by these important works for their patience
and join them in looking forward to the benefits once the work is completed. Please remember the 40km/h
speed limit which is in force in that section of Beckett Road during construction, as police are regularly
