Our Staff

Meet Wayno Pauly...

Over 16 years with Lamination System!

Other than family, Wayno is the longest serving staff member on board.

Fondly referred to as "Auto Man" he laminates jobs at lightning speed, and knows our large automatic UK Lamtex machine better than anyone.

When he isn't working, he is playing the guitar or video games with his teenage sons.

Wayno also assists in preparing and testing our machines for sale, so there really isn't too much he doesn't know about laminating.

Matt's Wrap:
AVS Open Night

It was great to be able to attend the AVS Open night back in November.

Show casing the latest FLORA UV printing system  and fabric printers, we helped demonstrate our range of Sign Master Laminators and Flatbed Applicators.

We also demonstrated our new Sign Master 1900 Textile Fixation Unit.

This machine has been designed to provide fast and even heating of printed fabric to ensure long lasting colour fixation quality. The resulting colour vibrancy is clearly visible.

This standalone colour fixation unit can be used in conjunction with output from one or many printers, resulting in increased processing speed and productivity.

Contact AVS in Melbourne to arrange a demonstration.

Sign Master Applicator                                           Available Now!

Flatbed Applicators are the new trend in mounting signs and glass. These versatile applicators are the Sign Writers' perfect production partner and double as giant, backlit work benches.

There are plenty of applicators available, and after thorough research at the last trade show in China, we believe our application unit is the best currently available on the Australian market and represents the best value for money.

With over 20 years of experience in building laminators, our Applicators have been designed to our specification for the Australian signage market by the same manufacturer as the Sign Master Laminators.

Including Australian manufactured Chevron glass, built-in compressor and self healing surface, the Sign Master Applicator is available to order in custom sizes up to 5.2 meters in length.

The superior design of this unit makes it an ideal solution for greater productivity by saving time and handling when mounting to a variety of substrates. We have been running our Application unit in our factory for over 6 months now and our guys can't imagine how they ever got on without it!

Tech Tips                                               Wide Format Laminating
A few pointers for successful wide format laminating from the Lamination Specialists..
  • Wide format laminating machines should all have mass diameter rollers that allow natural and even weight distribution to apply overlaminate without distortion or excess pressure.  The rollers should just be touching letting the natural weight of the heavy roller apply the film.
  • Always look after the rollers on your machine - any little scratches, marks or dents will repeat on to everything you laminate.
  • Let prints dry. Solvent Ink prints must be out gassed prior to coating. Generally 24 hours sufficient providing the print is left rolled image out and standing upright.
  • Matched media and overlaminate guarantees both the print and the coating will expand and contract at the same rate, ensuring your work lasts longer.
