The Perfect Ratatouille
What's great about it:
Technically a fruit, tomatoes are loved around the world for their versatility, rich red colour
and flavour. Tomatoes are a wonderful source of vitamin B6, C, K, beta-carotene, potassium and manganese.
Zucchinis are a good source of B group vitamins, which are essential for energy metabolism. The
vitamin C, beta-carotene and phytonutrients, give zucchini's their antioxidant properties. Capsicums are
available in a range of vibrant colours, which all contain the natural painkiller capsaicin, clinically
proven to be useful against arthritic pain. Capsicums are an awesome source of beta-carotene vitamin C,
B6, E and potassium.
Spring cleaning your Finances
The sun is shining, the
days are getting longer, flowers are blooming, the department stores are bringing in their Christmas stuff...
yes, spring is finally here. Everyone knows that spring is the season of fresh starts. Most people will
take the opportunity to do a bit of spring cleaning, getting to all those pesky once-or-twice-a-year jobs
around the house. But right now is also a great time of year to review your finances.
Why now? Well, with the end of the last financial year and your tax return well behind you, you've
got some great data to help you reset your goals and measure your progress by.
Gender and Finances - Closing the gap
of financial matters, women have come a long way over the last few decades. From the days when a man was
a plan, and the 'fairer sex' relied on their fathers or husbands for security, women have only become
more independent and financially savvy.
That's not to say there is no room for improvement,
you just have to look to the gap in relation to wage parity to know that we still have a way to go. Although
the gender pay gap in Australia is decreasing over time to a new current low of 16%, women tend to dominate
in lower paid industries and be under represented in senior roles and on boards.
