Great News for 2019
THE SPORTING YEAR AHEAD, promises to be one of unequalled significance
for the South West Sydney Academy of Sport and for the wider sport sector of our region.
The Academy has already inducted the majority of its 2019 athletes and following the school break,
most programs will be up and running again this week. And, it is envisaged that additional new sport programs
will join the Academy's current sports, as the year progresses.
The Academy has also
been charged with increasing its support in the area of coach development, for higher achieving sports
pathway coaches. This will commence with the support of the NSW Office of Sport and the NSW Institute
of Sport.
I am pleased to report that each and every one of our corporate partners
continue to recognise the community value of the Academy and have renewed their support, once again. Thank
you one and all.
Our amazing Sports Program Manager James Watson is definitely a 'man
on a mission' to make the Academy, and the Academy experience something every athlete, athlete family
and volunteer staff member enjoys and gain's value and personal satisfaction from.
And
as a high achieving athlete himself, he really understands what is required to succeed, and continues
to offer his work and personal time freely, to support the development of others. Well done James.
Yes, everything looks' good for another incredible year at SWSAS.
