What's YDRA? If you live in Yeronga, Fairfield, or
Yeerongpilly, YDRA is your local group to help maintain and improve our local amenities and services.
It is a volunteer group run by members of the community for the community. We love our community and we
have a wide brief which can involve the committee in many different ways providing advice to BCC on services,
traffic, pedestrian access and cyclist routes, giving feedback on development applications, using public
forums to determine community attitudes to major development in the district (local and State projects),
supporting and encouraging other volunteer groups in the district, and many more. YDRA works closely with,
and is well supported by, our three parliamentary members (BCC, State, and Federal) YDRA is a non-political,
non-racial, and non-sectarian.
YDRA elects a committee every
year to keep the agenda and energy levels fresh for the coming year. The AGM is late this year because
of Covid-19 restrictions. By supporting YDRA, and attending the AGM and General Meeting which immediately
follows, at 7.00pm on 1st December at the Services Club, you can have your say on what's important to
you and what needs improving or protecting in our district. If you'd like application forms to join YDRA
either as a 'Friend' or as a 'Full' voting member (or just want to find out more) visit www.ouryeronga.com.au/ydra,
