The kicks scheduled for Feb 2019

I don't know about you, but January seems to have flown by. We are still waiting for the details of our newest addition to the fleet, and we are now counting down till the end of February when they will arrive in Australia, and the first photos can be released.

Just a reminder that we have a "Kickbike 25th year anniversary" tag line for this year.  It's "never grow old", so if you are posting anything onto social media about your kicking activity this year, then please include the hashtag #nevergrowold and #kickbike25

So, the kicks for the next 4 weeks are

Sat 9th Feb 6am 16km Meet at the Mango Hill Train Station carpark off Halpine Dr. We will do 1 circuits of the Murrumba Downs to Kippa-Ring urban Rail trail and return. Those keen for a longer kick at 24km will then continue on to Petrie station and return. Brunch afterwards somewhere in Mango Hill. I know I told some people that this kick was going to be Sunday, but we have had to change it to Saturday. Hope that's OK.

Sun 17th Feb 6am Toombul to Nudgee Beach 22km is the full distance, but shorter distances of 10km and 16km being the main options.  Meet at Toombul shopping Centre lowest carpark opposite the NAB and closest to the East West arterial

Sun 17th Feb 10am - Have a Go Demo day. Come along and "Have a Go" on a short flat course starting from Toombul Shopping Centre Meet in the lower carpark opposite the NAB underneath the Airport rail tracks by the East West arterial.  We kick out on a flat, out and back course, so that you can check out the Kickbikes, and/or learn some efficient kick tips. Please RSVP to Bruce at 0407 699884. Kickbikes and Helmets are available as required.

Sun 24th Feb 6am - 22km Newstead kick, or 16km to West End and back. Meet on Bright St Kangaroo point, just down from the Story Bridge Hotel. - Parking should be available on Bright St, or on McDonald St.  From here we will head out over Story Bridge to New Farm and Breakfast Creek and return back via Newstead and Roma Street parklands. Breakfast at Story Bridge Hotel. All welcome.

Sat 2nd Mar 6am - 26km Minnippi Parklands kick or 16km shorter flatter kick. For both meet at the start of the Minnippi parklands at the end of Stanton Road West in Tingalpa.  (The one off Graystone St. and not to be confused with the Stanton Road Tingalpa, that's off Wynnum Road.) If you pass a model aero club you are on the right road. We head from there out through Carindale to Mansfield and return.  The track is mainly bike paths.  Breakfast or coffee afterwards will be in Cannon Hill.

Join us during February, and improve your fitness.
