We have heard a few stories lately from people who have started
back kicking, and are now enjoying it so much, that they are wondering why they stopped in the first place.
Welcome back, and it's great to hear your success stories, and pleased that you are getting active again.
Anyway, the kicks for the next few weeks are,
Sat 25th May 7am Toombul towards
Brookside 15km short kick and 23km
longer kick. Meet in the lower carpark opposite the NAB underneath the Airport rail tracks by the East
West arterial. Brunch afterwards at Toombul shopping Centre.
Sun 2nd June 7am
Race training Murarrie Recreational Reserve, Wynnum Rd Cannon Hill.
We will practice race starts, drafting, plus interval training. Come along and get some specific race
training, prior to the QLD State Champs next month.
Sat 8th June 7am 18km Sandgate to Woody Point or a short version 12km Sandgate
to the Hornibrook Bridge. The latter is great for beginners, so come along and give it a go. Meet in front
of Doug's Café on Flinders pde close to 2nd Ave in Sandgate, with coffee/brekkie afterwards back
Sun 16th June MS Brissie to the Bay 50km or 25km I am aware of a group who are looking at this event to join the kickbike half hundred
club. If you would like to join us to achieve the same goal, or to help those striving to achieve

Lyn is doing the 25km on this one, so if 50km
is too far, then join her for the 25km. Remember that all entries help raise needed moneies for
the MS society.
Sun 23rd June 7am - 20km
Newstead kick, through New Farm, Brekkie Creek and Roma St Parklands, or the shorter 16km kick out to West End and back. Meet at Bright St Kangaroo point, just down from the Story
Bridge Hotel. Parking should be available on Bright St, or on McDonald St. Meet back together for Breakfast
or coffee at Story Bridge Hotel.
20th July - 1pm Footbike
QLD State Footbike Championships Nundah
23rd 24th August National Footbike Champs at Stromlo in
15th Sept Brissie to Gold Coast 60km or 100km
