Spring is here, and didn't yesterday let everyone know. Welcome
to the warmer temperatures. Here are the first lot of kicks for the start of Spring.
Sat 7th Sept 7am Toombul to Nudgee Beach 22km full
distance Shorter distances 18km 16km 10km 5km are all options on this
one Meet at Toombul shopping Centre lowest carpark opposite the NAB and closest to the East West arterial.
Get together at a Coffee shop afterwards.
Sun 15th Sept 7am 18km Sandgate to Woody Point or a short version 12km Sandgate
to the Hornibrook Bridge. The latter is great for beginners, so come along and give it a go. Meet in front
of Doug's Café on Flinders pde close to 2nd Ave in Sandgate, with coffee/brekkie afterwards back
in Sandgate.
Monday 16th Sept Bunnings BBQ fundraiser Volunteers required to help raise funds for the Australian Footbike Association. Shifts
6.30am till 12pm 10.30am till 3pm - 12pm till 4.30pm at Bunnings Stafford. Please let me know which ones
you can help with.
Sat 21st Sept 7am - Newstead 22km Newstead kick. Meet at Bright St Kangaroo point, just down from the Story Bridge
Hotel. Parking should be available on Bright St, or on McDonald St. From here we will head out over
Story Bridge to New Farm and Breakfast Creek and return back via Newstead and Roma Street parklands. Breakfast
at Story Bridge Hotel. All welcome.
Sat 28th Sept 7am - 22km Minnipi Parklands kick. Meet at the start of the Minnipi parklands at the end of
Stanton Road West in Tingalpa. (The one off Graystone St. and not to be confused with the Stanton
Road Tingalpa, that's off Wynnum Road.) We head from there out through Carindale towards Mansfield and
return. An early turnaround is available making 14km.
The track is mainly bike paths. Breakfast or coffee afterwards will be in Cannon Hill.
Long weekend 5th to 7th Oct - There is no kick planned this weekend, but if you want to advertise one
yourself, then let me know the details. Have an awesome weekend everyone
