Just a quick newsletter out to all
to update the details of the next state Race days, and to remind everyone about our upcoming AGM.
QLD Race day - 9th Nov - Nundah Track 1.2km time trial and 10km First race starts at 9am so be there
at 8am for warm up and briefing, and to help set up.
NSW Race Day - 23rd Nov - Waratah Park Sutherland
900m time trial and 10km, Race start time is now confirmed as 8.45am, so
be there for 8am for warmup and briefing.
VIC Race Day Sorry
date and time both changed - Sunday - 1st Dec - Belmont Track in Geelong 400m time trial and 10km
- First race starts at 2.30pm so be there from 1.30pm to get ready.
Registration for all 3 events is available online at footbike.com.au/event-registration/ Please
pre-register more than 1 week before, to avoid late entry fee. Insufficient numbers may result in event
cancellation.
Remember that all participants must be paid AFA members, If you register for
the race as a non-member, you will only be able to race as a novice, and will not be entitled to any ranking
points or race titles. Processing of online membership can be done at footbike.com.au/membership
AGM
A reminder that our AGM
will be held on the 3rd November at 4pm AEST and 5pm AEDT. It will be held online using Skype for business.
If you can access a web page on your computer, then you can access skype for Business. All you need to
do is pre-register (email us at team footbike.com.au), so that we can send you a meeting invite back
via email. It is worth clicking in about 5 minutes beforehand to make sure you can join.
All
committee positions are up for renewal each year, and the following nominations have been received for
the re-election of the current incumbent for the 2019/2020 season
President - John Jardine
Secretary
- Lyn Cook
Treasurer - Jenny Delgado
Committee Members - Judith Jardine, Bruce Cook
The following position is currently without nominations for 2019/2020
Vice President -
New
Committee Member nomination We received a self-nomination from Sharon Bolter to join as a committee member.
We will also be reviewing a proposal to change the way the points are allocated for the Australian ranking,
as well as the World Champs qualifying criteria.
If you would like to volunteer yourself or nominate
someone for any AFA positions, then please get their permission, and then email us with that nomination.
If more than one nomination is received for any of the above positions, other than as a committee member,
then a ballot will be held at the AGM.
Holding all our meetings using Skype for Business, enables
all members of the committee to login to the meetings from home, or even from their mobile. More Interstate
participation would be great.
A copy of the meeting agenda will be forwarded to all participants
this week, so make sure we know of your interest in participating in the meeting in plenty of time.
