Hi all, and welcome to 2020. I know this has been a
while coming, but here are the confirmed dates for this years round of State Championships
Queensland Sunday 15th March racing starts at 11am so be there in plenty of time to get
ready. 1.2km time trial, and 10km Criterium Location Nundah Criterium circuit Hedley Rd Nundah I have
booked an overcast but dry day with no wind, perfect racing.
Victoria - Saturday
4th April racing starts at 1pm, so see you there early - 400m time trial and then 10km Criterium
Belmont criterium circuit, 1 Barwon Heads Rd, Belmont in Geelong
NSW Sunday 19th April
racing starts at 1pm so be there early. 980m time trial and then 10km criterium Location Waratah Park
Criterium, 42 Rawson Rd (or Old Princes Hwy) in Sutherland.
For those that have never raced
before, or for non AFA members, there will be novice category racing available at all 3 events.
It will consist of one event over the shorter of the 2 distances, and will be held in between the 2 events.
Only AFA members will be able to race for the state title, and the Australian ranking points available.
There is no late fee for Novice racers.
Cost is $20 per entrant, $10 for under
18, students over 18, or over 60, Family $40. Please register early at www.footbike.com.au/event-registration
to avoid the late entry fee, and to enable travel to be booked for the timekeeper for the VIC and NSW
events.
National Champs - Put it into your calendar now. Tentatively 23rd and 24th
May - Venue to be confirmed.
