Welcome to the fifth edition of Transforming Business, the Griffith Business School Alumni Network (GBSAN) newsletter, for 2015.

Thanks to everyone who submitted a nomination for the 2015 Outstanding Alumnus Awards. Nominations closed last Friday and we were thrilled with the response. We now begin the judging process, our panel is due to meet in the coming weeks. The 2015 Outstanding Alumnus and Young Outstanding Alumnus of the Year will be announced at our Gala Dinner and Awards Night on Friday 30 October.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner are now on sale. All alumni are invited to join us at this event, it is always a great night for networking, socialising and celebrating the successes of the School, our students and, of course, our graduates. This year we celebrate our 10th Gala Dinner. The evening will include a three course meal, beverages, and entertainment from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. More details can be found below.

On Friday 11 September we held the inaugural GBS Classic Golf Day. A great group of alumni, staff and current students participated in the day and enjoyed a round of golf at The Palms, Sanctuary Cove. This event is set to become a feature on the GBS Alumni Network calendar, we look forward to growing it in the coming years!

I was delighted to hear that so many talented alumni have recently returned to campus, about the wonderful MBA ranking results and also to learn of the growing number of Griffith postgraduate programs now delivered online. Read on to find out more about these exciting developments.

Best wishes,

David Morgan
